An item reported that the Swedish defence program for the period 1908-1913 was made public. The navy should according this program consist of a half division armoured ships 1st class (2 units), a half division armoured ships 2nd class (2 units), a half division torpedo cruisers (2 units), 2 divisions destroyers (8 units), 3 divisions torpedo boats 1stclass (12 units) and 2 divisions submarines (8 units). The naval base at Stockholm was to be either enlarged or moved, in Gothenborg and along the coast of Norrland were naval bases to be established and Stockholm, Gothenburg and Karlskrona to be strengthened. Just like the Swedish court desired was a naval organisation established with the purpose to promote the strengthening of the fleet.
