On 3 June 1942 scuttled at Tilijap to prevent capture by the Japanese forces, however salvaged and repaired and commissioned in Japanese service as the Hosei Maru. On 10 April 1945 destroyed with gunfire by the Dutch submarine O 19 in the Sunda Straits.
