Naval operations of the Dutch East Company at Ternate according to the Generale Missive dated 5 April 1743

The sloops Nias and Kruiser departed 28 January, the ship Binnenwijzend 26 February and the yacht Geertruida 22 February, all destined towards Ternate. The Binnenwijzend was to return via Bima for a cargo sapan wood, the Geertruida to sail towards Makassar for senior merchant Hendrik Stemer who was appointed at Ternate. Batavia couldn’t deliver the 2-mast vessels asked for, so it was allowed the keep the Geertruida for service at this factory. Despite the advice give, it was allowed to repair the sloop Nieuwe Promotie. The measures taken against the Spanish little ship Prins van Anturia in the Moluccas were approved.
