Naval operations of the Dutch East Company at Banda according to the Generale Missive dated 10 January 1741

The Spiering was forced by bad weather to pass Bandaneira and was wrecked at Wadjer with 2 dead. Of the cargo were 110007 ducatons salvaged, The Castricum came from this factory with a cargo valued fl. 124.889 including 669445 lb nutmegs, 133871 lb mace, 8000 preserved nuts, 200 lb marmelade, 46l b oil of nuts, 3000 lb wax, 5875 lb nacre and 329 lb tortue.
