The Dutch brig ship Tjamara wrecked off Pakkies in the Dutch East Indies according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 July 1837

Batavia, 28 February. Tidings from Krawang dated 6 February reported that off Pakkies near the kampong Tjamara the brig ship Fathoel Moengien, coming from Palembang and destined towards Batavia was stranded. According to her master Oeij Tjoenling was this accident caused by the loss of her rudder in very stormy weather in the night of 4 February. There was still hope that she with the assistance of the local government and the fact that all ready half of her cargo was thrown overboard that she could be salvaged.
