12 June. When the tiding was received that the British squadron departed to sea
were orders sent to Cadiz to sent immediately the fleet to sea. Also was ordered
to fit out an extra ordinary 10 ships of the line and to embark the regiment of
Cantabrie. According to letters dated Cadiz 6 July was this regiment all ready
embarked on board of 2 ships of the line, 1 frigate and a horque [hulk?] en
after loading a large amount of ammunition were these ships departed towards
Portorico.

26 June. Spanish warships were sighted cruising off Cape St. Vincent. According
to rumours was a division of warships sent to America.
