The Turkish navy in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 11 August 1823

Corfu, 9 July. The Turkish squadron which arrived at Patras stayed there until the 2 July seizing in the waters of Missolunghi 12 ships of different nations and plundering the cargoes. They even seemed to have hanged an Italian master.
