Dutch union asked for veto on export of tugs according to the Dutch newspaper Het volk dated 17 April 1916

An item reported that the board of the union for stokers asked the minister for home affairs to forbid the export of tugs. Since the crises started were 21 large Rhine tugs with as homeport Rotterdam and Dordrecht sold abroad and asked for permission for a large number of other tugs.(1)
