American whaler James Allen sending oil to New Bedford in November 1873 according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 January 1874

An item reported that oil coming from the bark James Allen of New Bedford on 13 November 1873 lying at Honolulu was sent to New Bedford with the Syren and the bark Nautilus. The bone-catch was sent via San Francisco by the railway.
