Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Boreas and advice brig Snelheid launched at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche courant dated 26 March 1833

An item reported that on the 22nd at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands the 28-gun corvette Zr.Ms. Boreas (1) and the 14-gun advice vessel Zr.Ms. Snelheid (2) were launched.

1. ‘kuil’corvette later called a corvette 1st class, on stocks at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands 1828 by C. Soetermeer, launched on 22 March 1833, 1857 sold, displacement 776 tons, dimensions 36,5 (between perpendiculars) x 10,0 (inner hull) x 4,25 (fore)-4,82 (aft) x 5,39 (depth below maindeck) metres and an armament of 28 guns:20-12pd guns of 20-30pd carronades, 8-12pd carronades and 2-6pd guns.
2. Advice brig, launched at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands on 22 March 1833 door C. Soetermeer, scrapped 1849, sold 1850, dimensions 28,00 (load line)x 7,70 (inner hull) x 2,9 (fore)-3,70 (aft) x 3,86 (depth below gun deck) metes and an armament of 14 guns (12-12pd carronades and 2-6pd guns).
