Spanish brig of war Volontaire arrived at Spain coming from Cuba according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Haarlemsche Courant dated 10 July 1819

An item dated Madrid, Spain 22 June reporting the arrival of the Spanish brig of war Volontaire on the 6^th at Cadiz coming from Havana, Cuba with official dispatches. Before entering the harbour she managed to beat off a heavier armed privateer of the Independents killing a lot of her crewmembers.
