Dutch East Indiamen Zon and Beekvliet arrived at Cape of Good Hope, South Africa according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 7 October 1773

An item dated  Amsterdam, Netherlands 6th October reported that as captains of the Christmas East Indiamen ‘t Velthoen and Zuid-Beveland were appointed respectively Justus Hendrik Pfeil and Hendrik Nuboer. Letters received from Cape of Good Hope, South Africa reported the arrival there on 26th July of the hooker Zon master Andries Hansen of chamber Amsterdam coming from the coast of Angola which he left with the Beekvliet captain Thomas Brunel of which he was separated on the 5th.
