British bark Ocean Bride underway from Siam towards England according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 10 January 1870

An item dated 9th reported the passing of the Sunda Strait by the British ship Ocean Bride captain Hilland leaving Bangkok, Siam on 21 December 1869 towards England.(1)

1. Bark, captain’s name Thelland?, tonnage 344 tons and as dimensions 122.0’ x 24.0’ x 16.3’, built in 1854 at Jersey, owners Fruing&Co., homeport Jersey.
