An item reported that on the Friday 7th before the Dutch tug Mathilda (1) of the Sleepdienst A. Kooren, Rotterdam, Netherlands was lost on the Brielsche Maas due to an explosion. Her crew consisting of captain A.J. Schutte, engineer J. Propsma and sailor J. Kooren was killed.
