French privateer le General Ernouf captured American ships Ardent and Philips according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haarlemse courant dated 20 April 1805

An item reported that the French privateer le General Ernouf captured two American ships Ardent and Philips underway from St. Domingo towards Baltimore, USA. The first was sent to Guadeloupe, the second one to St. Martin.
