American General Board of the Navy proposed large naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1905-1906 no. 9
An item referred to the magazine Army and Navy Journal reporting that the General Board of the Navy proposed a new shipbuilding program with total costs 41.3000.000 US dollars. Analogy was in the program a keyword. The program consisted of 3-circa 16.000 ton battleships of the Connecticut design, costs each 8.000.000 US dollars, 5 scouts of the latest approved type, costs each 2.000.000 US dollars, 6 destroyers, larger and more seaworthy as the older types even if they were slower, 6 torpedo boats to be larger as the previous ones and finally 2 transports to be added to the squadrons
