Danish naval budget for 1899-1900 according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1898-1899 no. 8
An item referred to the magazine Mitteilungen a.d.G.d.S. reporting that on the Danish budged 1899-1900 6.996.845 crones for ordinary and 930.000 crones for extra ordinary expenses were available for the navy allowing to continue the building of the Herluf Trolle (1), 100.00- crones as first payment for a 5.317 ton battleship similar to the Herluf Trolle and 79.000 crones for improvement of the lightning of the Little Belt to make safe passages at nigh possible.

1. Of the Herluf Trolle coastal defence ships consisting of the Herluf Trolle (1899-1922), Olfert Fischer (1903-1936) and the Peder Skram (1908-1943)with a displacement of 3.494 tons and a main armament of 2x1-24cm/9.4”guns and 4x1-15cm/5.9” guns.
