New boats for German Imperial navy according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 3
An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reporting that some time ago the Oertzsche shipyard at Hamburg, Germany delivered a motorboat built for the German flagship Deutschland. She was especially built for supreme commander prince Heinrich. During the trials it became clears she had good equalities and at the measured mile at Kiel, Germany achieved she a speed of 16,5 miles. The same yard was building a so-called A boat which was to replace the 16 metres steam launches and to be fitted out with 1-120hp engine and further more a commanding officer launch with a 60 hp engine. The Heidtmannsche shipyard was building 8 communication vessels each with 1-20 hp engine.
