French destroyer Dunois performed very well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1898-1899 no. 8
An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the French destroyer Dunois performed her temporarily trials and developed with the boiler feeding finally improved 7.300 hp which was more as the contracted 6,400 hp. A second item reported that she achieved at her official trial with natural draught 3.600 ihp and a speed of 19,34 miles. Coal consumption was 0,725 kg/hp/hour.(1)
