Creusot building French aluminium torpedo boats according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1895 nr. 6

An item reported that the company Creusot received an order for building 5 aluminium made torpedo boats which were destined for the torpedo work ship Foudre at that moment being built at Chantiers de la Gironde, Bordeaux, France.
