British sloop HMS Folkestone (L22) visited the Dutch East Indies in 1936

An item reported that the British sloop HMS Folkestone visited the Dutch Easy Indies harbours Semarang between 17-21 October 1936, Surabaya 22 October 1936, Bali 23-26 October 1936, Koepang 3-6 November 1936, Benkoelen 18-20 November 1936, Padang/Emmahaven 21-26 November 1936, Sibolga 27-30 November 1936, Sabang 2-7 December 1936 and Belawan Deli 8-14 December 1936.(1)

1. Hastings-class sloop, laid down by Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson Limited, Wallsend-on-Tyne on 21 May 1929, launched on 12 February 1930, commissioned on 25 June 1930 and sold to be broken up on 22 May 1947.
