Japanese minelayer Okinoshima visited the Dutch East Indies in 1937

An item reported that the Japanese minelayer Okinoshima visited the Dutch East Indies harbours Menado between 22-25 February 1937, Ambon between 27 February-2 March 1937, Dobo between 4-6 March 1937, Boela between 7-10 March 1937 and Manokwari between 12-14 March.(1)

Note
1. Building ordered under the Fiscal year 1931, laid  down by Harima Shipyards on 27 September 1934, launched on 24 November 1935, commissioned on 30 September 1936, sunk after in the St. George’s Channel being hit by torpedoes launched by the American submarine USS S-42 on 12 May 1942 and stricken on 25 May 1942.
