Dutch motor tug Freischütz launched at Alkmaar, Netherlands according to the Dutch magazine Schip en Werf dated 17 February 1939

An item reported the launching by the N.V. Scheepswerf en Machinefabriek ‘t Hondsbosch voorheen firma C. Bosman, Alkmaar, Netherlands with yard number 715 of the steel built motor tug Freischütz of the lifeboat type. Fitted out with 1-60hp 3 cylinder Kromhout diesel engine and complete electric equipment with Zeiss searchlight. She was built for service in Eastern waters and suitable to serve in very heavy seas. She was mainly to be used as tug and if necessary as lifeboat at Boela, Dutch East Indies.
