Portuguese motor tug Bissau launched at Delfzijl, Netherlands according to the Dutch magazine Schip en Werf dated 17 February 1939

An item reported the launching by the Dutch firm Gebr. Niestern, Delfzijl, Netherlands the motor tug Bissau for account of the government of Portuguese Guinea. Dimensions 30 (between perpendiculars)-33 x 7,20 (on thrushes) x 3,30 (hold) metres. To be fitted out with 1-400hp M.A.N. diesel and 2-40hp Gardner-Kromhout diesels, the latter to be used as auxiliary engines. On 12 May was her successful trial achieving a speed of 10,5 miles. To be used as buoy layer and tug.
