Portuguese tuna purse fishing vessel Salamanza in 1969


Built for account of the Congel Companhia de Pesca e Congelaçao de Cabo Verde S.A.R.I., Lisbon, Portugal by the Seebeckwerft A.G. Weser, Bremerhaven, Germany. Departed on 28 February  1969 from Bremerhaven towards S. Vincente, Cape Verde Islands. Gross tonnage 361 tons and as dimensions 35,25 (between perpendiculars) x 9,30 (on thrushes) x 4,40 (below main deck) x 4,20 (design draught) metres. Accommodation for 18 men. Cargo capacity of 318 cubic metres divided over 8 tanks. Net with a length of 1,5 kilometres and used to a depth of 100 metres.
