An item reported that the Polish fleet had as main task the coastal defence limited as she was by lacking ships suitable for offensive purposes. The destroyers and submarines she possessed were obsolete and just suitable for training purposes. The other ships were used for minesweeping or minelaying and for police patrol tasks.
