An item reported that the Norwegian Ice sea seal hunters fleet consisted of 12 steamships and 25 sail ships of which excluded 2 Swedish steamships, 5 German steamships and a Dutch brig of Norway the crews were Norwegian sailors totally 2.000 men in 1874. Annual net profit was 700.000-800.000 crones.
