The results of the Scottish whalers and seal hunters between 1870-1872

An item reported that in 1871 in Scotland 11 seal hunters and 10 whalers were fitted out, caught the first 40.194 seals or 205 tons train and the latter 105 whales or 1.016 tons of train. Despite the fact that in 1872 3 ships more were sent were just 29 whales were caught or 188 tons of train less. In 1870 were the catch results of 9 seal hunters 90,450 seals or 860 tons of train.
