German ships handed over to Spain as compensation for war losses according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 16 October 1918

An item dated Madrid, Spain 15th referred to an announcement of the Spanish cabinet reporting that an agreement between Germany and Spain was signed resulting in the transfer of 7 German ships lying in Spanish harbours. It was a replacement of the 21.600 tonnage Spain lost since August 1914 due to war violence.
