American passenger ship Santa Teresa 1918-1936 (Kent 1936-941, Ernest Hinds 1941, Kent 1941-1942, Ernest Hinds 1942-1957
Launched by William Cramp&Sons, Philadelphia, USA for Grace Lines on 4 July 1918, between 18 November 1918 and 7 October 1919 in service of the US Navy as the USS Santa Teresa (ID 3804), purchased by the US Army in April 1941, renamed Ernest Hinds, converted at Boston, USA into a troop transport, handed over to the US Navy in July 1942, renamed USS Kent (AP-28), given back to the US Army and renamed USAT Ernest Hinds, converted into a hospital ship at San Francisco, California, USA in the period September 1943-June 1944 and finally sold in May 1957 to be broken up. With a displacement of 5.341 (light load)-8.890 (full load) tons were her dimensions 373.9 x 51.5 x 24.5 feet.
