Russian tanker Aktau 1967-1991 (Medea 1991/1992-1994, Romina III 1995-1995, Capareli 1995-2000, Duna 2000-2003)
Built by Shipyard 161 Repola-Rauma, Rauma, Finland in 1967. IMO 6713104 and call sign UAER. Renamed Medea January 1991 or March 1992, Romina III July 1994, Capareli January 1995 and Duna October 2000. Broken up at Mumbai, India on 1 June 2003. Original homeport Batumi, Georgia of the Georgian Shipping Company. Since 1990 of the Anglo Georgian Shipping Co. Ltd., London, England, 1992 handed over to Medea Shipping Co. Ltd., La Valeta, Malta and renamed Medea, sold to Renato Maritime Ltd., managed by Faideal Marine Services (Piraeus, Greece and renamed Capareli in 1995, sold to Al Mujtaba Co. Ltd., Belize and renamed Duna, Bolivia-flagged, homeport La Paz.
Part of a group consisting of the Altaj, Aktau, Amgun, Aktubinsk, Aykhal, Rauma, Adygeni, Anakliya, Aynazhi, Kola, Izohara, Khersones, Akhaltsikhe, Yugansk, Ararat, Ayon, Omsk, Autse, Biryuza Antares, Zugdidim Auseklis, Zhalgiris, Abava, Prut, Svrgutnef, Anyuy, Neftegoresk, Tarkhankut, Ilim, Aspindza, Dabrecen, Neftekamsk, Sakhalinneft, Sibirneft and Rumbula. The Project 160 or called by the NATO the Altay-class consisted of the Kola, Elnya, Egorlyk, Izhora, Prut and Ilim.
