Auction of 1/16 share in the Dutch whaler Roode Roos in 1733
Auction at the Nieuwezyds Heeren Loogement, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Amsterdam on Monday 12 October 1733 of 1/16 share in the Dutch whaler Roode Roos, commandeur Jan Karremelk, built in 1701, dimensions 110 x 26.7 x 12.3, dek 6.4 and stuurplecht 8.10 feet, 5 boats and bookkeeper Cornelis Roos, Oostzanen, Netherlands. Sold for 1/509 Dutch guilders.

1 Jan Karnemelk, activa as commandeur between 1717-1735 in the Greenland whaling, since 1725 for Cornelis Roos, catch results in 1732-1734 respectively 2 ½ whale and 150 barrels whale blubber, 1,5-80 and 1,5-40. Alphabetische naam-lyst van alle de Groenlandsche en Straat-Davidsche Commandeurs die sedert het jaar 1700 op Groenland en sedert het jaar 1719 op de Straat Davis etc. Gerret van Sant.
