Dutch privateer Hoop successful according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haerlemsche courant dated 8 December 1672

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 6th reported the arrival of captain Cornelis Moorman of Vlissingen, Netherlands commanding the small ship Hoop armed with 3 small guns. He take with him 3 prizes consisting of a large fluyt loaded with sail, a similar with coal and a ketch in ballast. Lacking a prize crew was a fourth prize destroyed.
