Dutch steam trawler De Hoop bought by Dutch government to be used as hospital ship according to the Dutch magazine Schip en Werf dated 13 October 1939

An item reported that the Dutch steam trawler De Hoop laid up in the fishery harbour of Ijmuiden, Netherlands was acquired by the Dutch cabinet to be converted into a hospital ship for the Royal Netherlands Navy
