Scottish seal hunter Mazinthien returning from Greenland according to the Dutch newspaper Vlaardingsche courant dated 30 April 1881

An item reported the arrival at Peterhead, Scotland of the seal hunter Mazinthien of Dundee, the first ship returning from Greenland. She had caught just 1.000 seals and her captain said that the season was a failure. Other ships from Dundee and Peterhead had as middle results 8-10 tons train. The bad weather was to blame the worse season.
