Sunk Russian reinforced concrete dock at Nikolajev, Ukraine not worth to salvage according to German officials in 1943

In his report dated Nikolajev, Ukraine 27 July 1943 informed captain W. Wilstermann of the R.K.S. the authorities responsible for the German sea shipping activities in the Black Sea about the wrecks to be found in his field. At Nikolajev was one reinforced concrete dock which was not worth to be salvaged while the bottom was destroyed and missing engines and pumps. Consisdered as not to be an obstacle for the shipping.  

Note

1. Between 22 June 1941 and 10 November 1944 was the Soviet republic Ukraine more or less controlled by the German Reichskomissariat after she was conquered by Germany. The Soviets destroyed harbour facilities, scuttled ships and so on when the Germans invaded Ukraine.
