French navy accepted the destroyers Mameluk and Hussard according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1911 No. 4

An item reported that the French destroyer Mameluck (1)which vessel earlier was refused by the navy lacking sufficient horsepower executed on 2 February a new 24 hours trial followed by a full speed trial achieving on last trial a speed of 28 knots. The navy was satisfied with the achievements and accepted her. The Hussar (2) was also accepted. Both vessels were in the past fitted out forced lubrication.

1. The Mameluk of the Spahi-class, preceded by Claymore-class and succeeded by Voltigeur-class. Launched by Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loirem Nantes, France on 10 March 1909, completed in June 1911, stricken in February 1928 and sold to be broken up. 

2. The Hussard of the Spahi-class, preceded by Claymore-class and succeeded by Voltigeur-class. Launched by Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loirem Nantes, France on  12 September 1908, completed in September 1911 and condemned in March 1922.
