An item reported that in August the Italian 250/300 tons submarine Julia (1) was launched followed in July by the 400 tons G. Pullino.(2) The launching was not without problems while she stocked when the aft ship reached the water. The next day succeeded men towing her with the cruiser Liguria (3) although met much efforts in freeing her.

1. The Jalea of the Medusa-class with a displacement of 248-395 tons? Laid down by Fiat-San Giorgio, La Spezia, Italy in March 1911, launched on 3 August 1913, completed in September 1913 and sunk on 17 August 1915.
2. Of the Giacinto Pullino-class with as sister ship the Galileo Ferraris. Laid down by R. Arsenale di La Spezia in June 1912, launched on 21 July 1913, completed in December 1913 and wrecked on 30 July 1916. Displacement 345 (surfaced)-404 (submerged) tons.
3. Of the Regioni-class cruisers, laid down by Ansaldo, Genoa, Italy on 1 July 1889, launched on 8 June 1893, completed on 1 December 1894 and sold to be broken up on 15 May 1920.
