Italy ordered 16 destroyers from German shipyard Schichau according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1905 no. 1

An item reported that Italy ordered the building of 16 destroyers by Schichau, Elbing, Germany. With a stronger structure was their maximum speed just 26 knots in contrary to the 3 years earlier by the same shipyard built which achieved even 32 knots on trials.
