Catch results of British and Scottish seal hunters according to the Dutch newspaper Vlaardingsche courant dated 24 April 1875

An item reported that the results of the seal hunting had been very worse. The steamship Arctic arrived at Peterhead, Scotland with just 13.000 seals, the Erik at London, England, Polynia, Ravenscraig, Esuimaux and Intrepid at Dundee, Scotland with similar worse results of with other words a complete failure. Adams, captain of the Arctic, even feared that the seal hunting was soon to be stopped lacking seals which were nearly extinguished. He promoted again a stop for the time being for all seal hunters fitted out in England, Norway, USA, Canada, Russia, Germany, Denmark, France and the Netherlands.
