Catch results of the Dutch Davis Strait whalers according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Groninger courant dated 29 September 1751

An item reported that on the sandbank Panneplaat in the Vlie an anonymous 1-mast hooker was stranded returning from Davis Strait. Of the 45 Davis Strait whalers sent out hat season was one lost, one damaged and 6 returned with zero catch results. The remaining ships had a total catch of 67 whales, 1 cachelot and more as 33.000 quardelen blubber.
