Born around 1600 in Monnickendam, Netherlands, killed in the rank of vice admiral in the Battle of the Sont against the Swedish fleet when the Dutch Republic supported Denmark on 8 November 1658 and burned on 7 November 1659 in the Grote Kerk, Hoorn, Netherlands.
