Spanish galleys transporting military to Ceuta according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haerlemsche courant dated 19 November 1697

An item dated Ceuta [Spanish Morocco]20th reported that some days earlier 1.500 soldiers were disembarked by the Spanish galleys. From Cadiz and Malaga were victuals and ammunition in large quantities transported. Ceuta was at that moment sieged by the Moorish.
