American whale ship France visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 24 August 1844

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 20 August of the American whale ship France master Edwards of Sag Harbor 13 months out 2.400 barrels oil (1.500 the season). Caught 2 sperm whales off Molokai the day before she arrived making 40 barrels.
