American whaling bark Vermont visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 17 August 1844

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 10 August of the American whaling bark Vermont master Nash of Mystic 8,5 months out 750 barrels whale oil. Left on 10th the whaling grounds to bring two seriously wounded crew members back with sat in a boat stoved by a whale. Departed on 15 August for cruising.
