American whaling bark North America visited Laihana, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 14 November 1840

An item reported the arrival at Lahaina, Hawaii on 31 October of the American whaling bark North America captain Richards 12 months out 620 barrels oil. The edition dated 20 November reported her arrival at Honolulu on 16 November coming from Lahaina.
