French whaler Latour du Pin visisted Wangarei, New Zealand according to the New Zealand newspaper Daily Southern Cross dated 12 December 1856

An item reported that the French whaler Latour du Pin captain Rivallen, 3 years out entered Wangarei, New Zealand fully loaded for refitting before going homeward bound. The oil was transhipped with the Acadian.
