French whaler Constance visited Payta, Peru according to the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror dated Wednesday 1 January 1834

An item referred to a letter from Charles Higginson dated Payta [Peru] 15 September 1833 reported the visit at Payta on 19 August of the French (?) whaler Constance master Chandler of Havre 10 months out 260 barrels oil.
