An item reported that a day earlier just past 18:00 o’clock the Isis (1) arrived at Singapore and direct towards the Tandjong Pagar docks [Tanjong Pagar Dock Company 1864-1905] for coal and water. She was followed by the Dido (2) passing the Borneo-Wharf at 19:30 o’clock. Both cruisers stayed until the next morning in the docks the Dido leaving for Hong Kong at 08:30 o’clock and the Isis at 08:45 o’clock. The Isis was a 1st class cruiser of 5.600 tons, 450 men, armed with 11 guns and 8.000 hp, commanded by captain Henderson. The Dido was a 2nd class cruiser, equally armament and horsepower, commanded by captain P.F. Tillard.
