Dutch parliament disapproved building fourth coastal defence ship according to the Dutch newspaper De locomotief dated 16 December 1897

An item dated The Hague, Netherlands 16 December reported that the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament did not approve with 46 against 41 votes the post in the naval budget for building a fourth cruiser of the Kortenaer-type.(1)
